Hockeycarl is a field hockey lifestyle brand that was founded in 2014 by hockey player Carlo Pätzmann. What was initially a small private fun project quickly turned into a local hype. Demand for the products increased not only in the hockey scene around SSV Ulm, but also off the field, the brand quickly developed into a popular fashion brand among some young people.

This is how the story of the small brand got rolling. After inquiries via Facebook and Instagram, each item of clothing was lovingly produced in a dusty attic, packaged and then taken to the post office by bike.


Goals and sustainability

With the relaunch of Hockeycarl in 2022, the small brand has set itself new goals to continue to reflect the spirit of the times. In times of fast fashion, we want to produce sustainable, fair and, above all, high-quality clothing, which is why we source our products from the Belgian manufacturer "Stanley/Stella", whose goods are sustainable and made from 100% organic cotton. In addition, following the example of a few brands, we have adopted the print-on-demand method, which saves us valuable resources instead of being left with a mountain of unsold products. Nevertheless - and this is worth emphasizing - the individual drops are strictly limited in addition to the always available Classicline.

So why Hockeycarl?

With Hockeycarl we have not launched another loveless brand into the world, but rather created a brand whose products are also our personal favorite pieces in the closet. With the classic laurel leaf logo and the refreshing clothing, Hockeycarl has created a brand that stands for timeless and aesthetic design. Classic meets everyday.
